Mike has over 20 years of experience in the green industry, having started his own landscape company in 1997. For eight years he owned and operated it, learning each aspect of what it takes to run a successful business. Afterward, he decided that he wanted to be part of a larger operation that he could help with his experience. Mike began Ameriscape USA (now ASI) in 2006 as the landscape designer. Since that time he has held many different positions at ASI, including Account Manager, Enhancement Manager, Branch Manager, Business Developer, and Business Developer Director. In addition to having his Bachelor of Science degree, Mike has also taken advantage of the advanced training that ASI offers to take multiple leadership courses and to obtain his ICPI, BMP, and FNGLA certifications. During his time with ASI, Mike has also become involved with multiple associations that work closely with the green industry. These include BAAA (Bay Area Apartment Association), CFHLA (Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association), CAI (Condominium Association Inc.), BOMA (Building Owner and Managers Association), and BANG (Bay Area Networking Group).
Mike is also a Captain and 25-year employee of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, and a charter board member of the Krewe of the Knights of St. John. He is responsible for creating Elite Fire Softball, a competitive softball team consisting exclusively of Florida firefighters that travel around competing in national charity tournaments. Mike’s strong work habits, attention to detail, drive to succeed, and loyalty have made him a key person in the ASI family.
