Joe founded the company in 1993, developing it from a small two-person residential lawn care service to where we are today. Under his leadership and vision, ASI now employs 100 individuals and maintains a commercial fleet with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Because they maintain the highest standards of customer care with several local apartment associations, Joe and ASI have received many awards, recognitions, and commendations over the years, including Associate Member of the Year from 2007–2009, Company of the Year in 2008, and other awards granted by the many charities and youth sports teams supported by Joe on behalf of ASI.
In addition to overseeing ASI, Joe is a Captain and 25-year employee of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. He is the originator and president of the Krewe of the Knights of St. John, a nonprofit organization benefiting several local charities. Joe is a member of the apartment associations in all of the counties ASI currently operates within, as well as CFHLA, CAI, and many others. He has recently developed a passion for consulting with local small business owners, sharing with them his ideas and philosophy regarding strategic planning and customer service. Joe was also recently recognized as a Trailblazer by the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) for his contributions to the industry.
In October 2011, Joe was the “Hometown Hero” featured by the Tampa affiliate of Fox TV. He also served on the 2011–2012 Client Advisory Council for Aileron, a professional consulting group that provides development and assistance to business owners and executives.
